Instrument light 200 89

The passenger side instrument ligth (4W) burned, changed it and it burned again. After few weeks gave it a second try, changed the ligth again, drove the car for 10 km, adjusted the dimmer, stopped, got out, started again and the light was dead again. Not looking forward for another replacement (8 euros a piece at Volvo). Any ideas what migth be the probem? The driver side light has been alive for years. Fuel and temp gauges and other lights in the panel are working properly.
