Strange tire wear 700 1988

In the summer of 2000 a vibration developed at 70 mph in my '88 740. When it started to vibrate at 50 mph I finally took a look to see what was up. My front tires were worn in a very strange manner. There were high and low spots and the shoulders we very worn. I installed 4 new tires, tie rod ends, ball joints, boge struts, 4 new tires, and an allignment. Problem solved.

One year later:

Possible Inportant Information:

The car has always pulled to the right, even after an allignment. I use winter tires (Yokohama Guardexx 600) year round. The rear tires are the same age and type as the front, and are in fine condition.

Did I fix the wrong thing? Are my winter tires ruining my suspension?
