Polishing 240 Bumpers 200 1987

Brickers,

The bumpers on my '87 240 have become somewhat faded--not real bad, but they are no longer shiny and black.

I'd like to polish/refinish them, but I'm not sure what to do/use:

0 I was considering polishing them with polishing compound and a buffer wheel--does this make sense?

0 I Ordered the bumper restoration products from IPD (black again, forever black) but didn't try them--they didn't look too promising when I tested them on a piece of scrap plastic

0 I haven't been too impressed with armor all either--looks good at first but soon wears off

0 Was considering paste wax or a silicone car finish.

Any comments on these or other solutions much appreciated.

Thanks guys,

Dave S.
