Wet carpet 200 81

My attempts at sealing the windshield were less than successful, so it's off to the glass shop to let the pros seal it up. In the meantime, I've taken out the carpets and the soggy foam mats underneath. As long as they are out, I figured I might as well spray some Rustoleum type paint on the exposed floorboards. Anything else I can do to either (1) reduce the chance of rust problems or (2) put some extra noise deadening stuff in there? I seem to recall a thread about some kind of spray-on sealer/insulation, but I can't find it. Any words o' wisdom?

Thanks
