A REALLY dumb question 900 1995

Can I ask a really dumb question that just might save me a lot of wasted time?

Where are the coil, distributor, spark plug wires and spark plugs on my '95 960? I have a pretty good impression of what any of the above may look like once I find them. I've worked on/replaced a lot of all of them on a lot of different cars through the years. 'Never had any trouble finding any of them before, (Except a very badly tucked away distributor on a 1990 Aerostar. WAAY back, a full arm's reach behind the air cleaner at the very back of the 8" slit they call the engine compartment. I digress.) but Volvo seems to have hidden them on me. Are they under that shiny metal shield above the exhaust manifold? Are they under the intake manifold? (They're not under that nifty black plastic cover in the middle of the head. What are those electronic looking things under there, anyway?) Are they kidding?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Bob
