Loud Exaust Noise Under The Hood 700 86

My car has started making a noise that can be best described as a cross between an old VW bug and a honda with no muffler. I am thinking that the exaust manifold is comming loose and the exaust is coming right out of the block. Either that or I got a huge hole in my downpipe. What do you think?
