I think in life Rowan Atkinson collects Aston Martins and has at least a couple of McLaren F-1s, including a lightweight competition variant. I don't know if he even owns a Mini, but if you had a choice between a Mini and an F-1, which would yyou drive?

Don't know if most "classic" mini owners completely appreciate why everyone is grinning.

Knowing BMW makes the Mini....do you think Mini enthusiasts are just like BMW enthusiasts?

I've been lurking, mostly, at the BMW E46 board, and, it's like a bloody accident on the highway, you just HAVE to look because there are threads like 1.) the one there on cheating on drug screen tests. Really. 2.) they all post pictures of their wrecked BMWs, and if they DIE in the crash, their FRIENDS post the pictures of the wreck. And why are there so many of 'em. I don't get it. I'm embarrassed when I screw up and bend something. 3.) besides their wrecked BMWs, the next most popular topic seems to be bird droppings, their effect on paint, removing bird droppings, acid content of bird droppings etc.

I've been a motor-head for about 40 years, and I've never seen anything like this. In all honesty, the Bavaria and CS and maybe even the 2002 boards seem populated by people I might actually like to get to know.
