Is it possible to dye the whole interior of a Volvo? 200 1983

I was thinking that a cheap way to make my dark brown leather (vinyl?) interior all black would be to dye it all. I've never heard of nor tried this on dash or seat material before. I assume the carpets are quite possible to do this way. Any suggestions? Any ideas where to get the dyes for this project? Thanks for the help.
