Throttle body cleaning 200 1992

Hello all

For as long as I have driven my 920240, it has felt slugish and not gotten very good gas mileage, no codes are present and if their is one, it is running to lean or rich at idle. Some one mentioned cleaning the throttle body to me the other day, and how much it imperoved the driveability of his buick. Should I do it myself, or have my mechanic do it. His mechanic hookedhis buck up to some machine and ran the engine on cleaner.

Any suggestions on what I should do? Procedure for a home mechanic cleaning the throttle body? Lastly, I have thought about replacing the O2 sensor because it could be "lazy". Have others had a great deal of luck doing this?

Peter
