Last brake question ever. . .I promise 200 1987

I have finally come to the end of my two month long brake job, and I would like to thank all of you that have helped me through it. This should (hopefully) be the last question on the project:

When I took off the rear rotors, I found one of the parking brake shoes to be all messed up. I decided to replace all of them at the same time. I put the rotor back on, and my dad said he'd adjust them. Later, he told me that there was no way to adjust them like they show in the repair manual. It shows them being adjusted through a hole in the front of the rotor with instructions similar to how one would usually adjust a drum brake. Is there such an adjustment to be made? Or is the only necessary adjustment the bolt inside the center console for the parking brake lever?
