Weird Idle problem (idle dip at stops) 900 1994

Hey guys,

I've noticed a weird idle problem with my new/used 940 with 68,000 miles on it. I have a idle dip whenever the fans come on. I noticed this when the car is already warmed up and I'm waiting at a stop light. Of course nothing like this is happening when I'm driving. All other forms of drivability are just fine. Just at stop lights when I'm sitting for a while I get the idle dip like the car will stall. I've noticed that the fans are either on when this happens or just came on and the idle dip will occur. I have electric fans and I replaced the battery saturday, I haven't checked alternator output yet. Any advice for the volvo newbie? I appreciate it.

Michael
