The only 2 things in a 140/164 that control water circulation in the

radiator (other than water LEVEL) are the water pump and the thermostat.

Are you SURE it is overheating? If you messed around behind the dash

you might have affected the little regulator that provides a lower

voltage for the temperature gauge, which could make it indicate a lot

hotter than it is. Also will make the gas gauge look fuller than the

tank really is.
