Not that they'll keep everything from blowing...My old Saab bought at 133k w/auto (the trans) lasted to about 200K whereupon I had the auto trans replaced (error, error, error, should have had it converted to manual!) and the engine reringed, new bearings and seals, same head, new head gasket, etc. Now at around 240k with synthetic atf (Type F gozinta it next) changed every 20K, I'm hoping to delay the inevitable for at least 200K.
