I believe the number for the 940 is 25 mm and the 850s and later 960s are 43 mm. The intersection of the steering axis at the interface between the road and the tire is the critical dimension so if you keep the tire's OD the same by using a lower aspect ratio tire on the 16" you'll be fine.
