Thumping against floor pan 240-260 1991

ICQ>

Lately when I go over certain irregularities in the road, especially when decelerating, I hear something hitting the floor pan. It sounds like it's in about the middle of the car.

About a year ago I replaced my exhaust system with the IPD hi flow cat back system, and didn't hear this noise, but about 4 months ago it started, just after I got the car back from the garage.

I've had the car up on a lift and very carefully checked the exhaust system, visually inspected the motor mounts, and everything feels and looks good.

Any ideas what might be causing this problem? I'd rally appreciate any ideas.
