Overdrive Going or Clutch Slipping 240-260 1983

ICQ>

I have an 83 240T with a 4-speed with overdrive. Lately when I engaged my OD at about 60 mph, the OD engages, but rpm revs similar to a clutch slipping. Today while I was about 85 mph, the OD was engaged, the rpm revs up a the car did not gain any more speed. This condition has only occured with the OD engaged which makes me think that the problem is OD related. I have heard that OD problems can mimmick a slipping clutch. Any ideas?
