02 Sensor 740-760 1990

ICQ>

Car dies when starting hot if you leave your foot off the throttle.

Car starts fine with a little gas (idle switch open?). After a few seconds, car will idle with foot off the throttle.

No other apparent issues with performance or mileage.

IDU returns a 2-3-2 code, book says it's lack of 02 sensor signal.

Excellent repeatability, clearing the codes results in same code being set next time engine warms up.

Throttle body cleaned within last two months.

Control function 2 indicates idle switch functioning with throttle closed.

02 sensor returns .898v (DVOM), don't have VOM with needle to see expected swings between .1v and .9v. However, since DVOM seems to stay at .9v (selector on DC volts), it appears it's time for a new 02 sensor.

I'm going to change out the 02 sensor this weekend. Any comments?
