stalling in hot weather 200 1987

It was a hot day here in Boston and I ran into the same nagging stalling problem again.

During hot weather when stuck in traffic the car occasionally stalls out and I am unable to get it to restart. The engine gets flooded - I can smell the gas. If I wait 15-20 minutes it starts right up. (1987 240DL wagon - fuel injected, 180,000 miles)

I have had the following changed recently :

fuel pump relay

flame trap

in tank fuel pump

air filter

wires

rotor & cap

idle control motor

Any suggestions?
