Clear Coat Failure 700 1991

I didn't see this in the FAQ, so I put it to the group. Clear coat on one door has failed in the center of the door panel. The area is slowly spreading outward and is now about 2 inches in diameter. How can I stop the spread? I'm not terribly concerned about the appearance of the fix, I just want to nurse the remaining clear coat along as long as possible.
