Everyone at Brickboard, and particularly Mr. Steve Ringlee, should know that P/N 3523813 is the female connector required to repair bullet type connections on 700 and 900 series cars. For instance, when changing the engine wiring harness on 700 series cars, it becomes apparent that insulation deteriorates badly on the wiring harness going to the ECU, underhood, behind where it connects with the engine wiring harness behind the passenger side strut tower and next to the A/C receiver. Repairs with solder and shrink tubing are difficult and uncertain without changing the female connectors. Brand new male connectors are on the engine wiring harness. Since P/N 3523913 consists of the required female connector with three feet of wire, it makes for a simple and durable repair of the connection between the engine wiring harness and the ECU! In fact, the repair with shrink tubing can go underdash inside the car away from harsh environment underhood. Another instance is turn signal connections that corrode so much next to the battery. Last but not least, these female connectors are needed to repair or build from scratch ignition wire harnesses for the 960. Although most respondents to a question on the subject seem to have good or even pristine connections at the coil packs atop the 960 engine, some of us have had problems with those conections. This is the part to solve our problems. The part can be bought from Borton Volvo for about $4 each. At least I can use it by the dozens, perhaps other too, and maybe we can persuade Borton to sell them cheaper if we buy many. Even at $4 it is a God sent, or rather Mr. Randstrom sent. Thank you Mr. Randstrom. Best regards to all.
