Speedometer 700 1991

Speedometer goes to either 40-50 or 70 and stays there looking up under the dash I have touch th wires it worked for a minute and then went back to 40-50 where does the wire go into the instrument gauges at how about on the transmiision How does the instrument cluster come out anyone have a manual for a 740 Thanks
