John --
You used the needle-like adapter? Greased the hinges through the fitting? Didn't have to warm up the hinge with a torch to get the grease to flow to both top and bottom?
Let's see: - The little star-wheel-door-holder thingys like grease.
- Hood hinges cry out for oil.
- Hood latch likes a touch of grease.
- And the hood release cable can get might dry -- there's a trick I have for blowing oil into it 'til it drips out.
- And I found that the door latch mechanisms can get dry and very hard to work. I broke two outside handles before I took the inner trim off and blasted grease and oil all over the latch and lock workings using compressed air. (Solved that one in a hurry.)
- The blower motor, of course, but that's a story in itself.
- If you have access, the bushings on the shifter (true for manual and automatic) like a drop or two about once per year.
- If your '83 has the Chrysler ignition (white cap) a bit of never-seize on the two cap screws might save a big headache later.
- If you ever pull the distributor, get some never-seize in there.
- And -- as a general statement -- anytime you work on the car and remove/replace nuts 'n bolts, use some never-seize. You'll thank yourself 100k miles later when you need to remove it again.
