Re: auto transmisson leak 200 1986

Went thru a similar mess with an 81 244DL. Leaks, drips, smoke, and no visible leaking place. It finally turned out that one of the two lines to the rad had a pinhole. It was where they go through a clamp near the bell housing. No other leak will make the kind of smoke as that one. I replaced both of the lines with dealer parts. Messy DIY.
