Re: Radiator Replacement/Installation 700 1990

RPR Try this, if this doesn't work search around on this web site they advertise here.

I don't believe the flushing kills water pumps, but it has happened to me. I have put in all new cooling parts (radiator, hoses, thermostat, tank, clamps, etc) except the water pump and whammo two months later the pump dies. Coincidence??? Yes and no. The pumps (after 185,000 miles) are probobly marginal. Flushing can remove all the crud that was keeping it sealed for the last 30K miles. With all the new clean parts and new solution WHAMMO...the pump is well cleaned and ready to leak....

So use a good dexcool product like Prestone in the silver bottle, but if your water pump has 150K you may want to replace it now.
