245 mushiness transformed 200 91

The last of the 240s are beautiful things indeed with a lot of refinement and fixes for the old problems like bad wiring, poor AC and weakened B230 engines. There are, however, a bit on the soft and mushy side in ride and handling, especially with the automatic trannies. I upgraded my 91 245 SE with KYB struts and Boge rear shocks ($175), salvage strut braces Volvo OEM ($20), and salvage sway bars 23mm/23mm ($10 ea. front 240 turbo/rear '79 GT) as well as 205/60 tires (X-1s) and the transformation is absolutely incredible. Now, all I need is an M47 (or an M46/B230FT). Nah, it's just fine the way it is. OK, so I traded with Pete G. for some of the parts but the salvage prices are figured in our private exchange rate. One alloy = two strut braces = one fat swaybar, etc. Thanks Pete.
