Re: No Air on Steep Hills- Been there before 700 1990

Hi,

I had similar experiance with my 940GLE. It has auto ECC unit. It only happens whenever I press the eccelerator down hard or drive on hilly roads (which is pressing the pedal down quite a bit). If I am cruising on coastal road the A/C was fine. When I overtake with hard press of pedal the A/C blower would slow down.

I am not sure about your model but if there is no air leak or vacuum leak then it could be the A/C vacuum valve (not sure the exact name). My car had two of them at the fire wall behind the engine and my A/C mechanic told me to change both. After I changed them, the problem went away. So have your A/C vacuum valve checked and if necessary replaced.

Hope this will solve your problem.
