Lead Substitute - how effective? ALL

Since unleaded gas is taking over the world, various after-market lead substitute additives have become available to fight the dreaded exhaust valve seat recession in older engines which do not have hardened exhaust valve seats. I know the real solution is to have hardened seats installed, but I would like to read some comments from people who have used these additives as to what brand seems to be the best and how effective they seem to be. TIA.
