Screeching Starter 200 1981

Within the past couple months, my starter started screeching about once every 30 starts or so. As soon as it would screech, I'd release the key and try again only to find the car starting this time. I went to a junk yard this past week and picked up a used starter that was a Volvo brand remanufactured. After installing it, 20 or so starts later it does the same thing. Is it just a wierd coincidence that I bought a used starter that had the same problem as the orginal? If not, what else could it be? When replacing the starter, I looked at the flywheel- it appeared to be in good condition. If the problem is in the starter, should I just buy a Bosch factory rebuild from a Volvo parts store? Thanks for the input.

Mike
