Re: ATF recommendations 900 94

Hi Doug,

Obviously, any flush is better than no flush. In general, synthetic is better than nonsynthetic. It is a matter of degree. New fluid depends on your wallet, longevity expectations for the car/ AT, and your driving conditions. I want to keep the car, drive many miles in Austin/ central Texas, so I use synthetic. Upt to now, I have been choosing Red Line over Amsoil, based solely on anecdotal feedback from the racing crowd: surfaces last longer with Red Line. Not my experience...just asking around. Amsoil is more available, and less expensive in general, especially if you become an acolyte and sign up for the preferred customer status. Don't waste your money on the blends. Get Mobil1, Amsoil, Red Line if you choose synth. Good luck...
