You've done me a favor. I went out to get the relay number, and as I wiggled the relay, it began to act intermittently. So, resolder, resolder, resolder -- just in time, too. Winter's coming.

From my '86GL, the rear wiper relay is p/n 1 258 100. It's blue, and plugs into the blue socket.

The front wiper relay is p/n 1 235 067. It's black, and plugs into the black socket.

Both are wrapped in plastic foam.

I bet it's cheaper to make all the wagons the same including the harnesses -- so our DLs have provisions for GL amenities.

My '82 turbo wagon DOES have intermittent rear wiper, but I don't know if it's original or if the PO added the relay. My '82DL bomber does not have intermittent wipers, but the switch, harness, and socket are in place.

If I were in your shoes, I'd visit a boneyard, find a 245GL, and buy a handful of spare relays for $5.
