122 Disc brake conversion using 240 parts ? 120-130 69

Hi everyone,

I had a line on a disc brake equipped rear end but things happened and it ended up being sold to someone else. Since it could be a long time until another one becomes available I am trying to figure out other ways I might be able to get disc brakes in the rear of my '69 122S.

I will soon be euthanizing my '80 240 GL. Does anybody know if it's possible to adapt the rear end from a 240 into a 122S ? Or would it be possible to convert the 122's rear end over to disc brakes using parts from my 240's rear end ?

Otherwise I was thinking that I might be able to adapt a rear end from another type of car that used the same rear end as was used in the 72 and 73 P1800's (they had disc brakes). Does anybody know who manufactured the disc brake equipped rear ends for the P1800 ? Was it Dana ? Would anybody happen to also know what the model number(s) were and what other cars one might find the same rear ends in ?

Any other ideas/ suggestions ?

Of course, if somebody out there has got a spare disc brake equipped rear end from a P1800 they want to sell me then please let me know !

Thanks,

Roj
