can brake pedal height be adjusted? 900 93

Recently had master cylinder replaced to remedy a low brake pedal. Unfortunatly the new master cylinder did not remedy the problem. A good friend with an automotive backgroud said most cars he knows of including some high end european cars have the means to adjust pedal height at either the master cylinder (internally?) or at the pedal itself?

How does this apply to Volvo?

Appreciate any and all replies.

John
