It's not the belt, per se, that is different, but the whole pulley setup. However,there is a cam balance (name?) that should have been added free of charge to extend the life of the 92-93 belts to a 30K change interval. Normally this was done at the regular 40K service. If yours was never done for some odd reason, I thinkk Volvo wwould still honor that change.
