Re: reverse light switch 200 75

Umm...cut what off of where?

Anyway -- the switch is on the console shifter. To totally remove & disconnect the switch (which, incidentally, also controls the ignition. very handy for hotwiring!):

1 - Remove the left side plastic from the dash, peel back the carpet, locate and disconnect the small harness that leads to the shifter (There are 3 wires, one of which is SB and controls the reverse lights, and the harness connector on my car is blue, if that helps). Obviously skip this step if all you want to do is temporarily disconnect the switch from the tranny.

2 - Remove the shifter cover and the screws holding the switch to the shifter.

3 - Put the tranny in "D" or thereabouts, then gently pull the shifter toward the driver's side and wiggle out the switch (a chunk of black plastic with some wires attached).
