timing belt 900 92

We just purchased a 1992 960 wagon, and promptly took it to a couple

of Volvo mechanics to make sure it was worthy of the dollars.

Mechanic one said that timing belts need to be changed every 30,000 miles and mechanic two said every 50,000 miles. The point may be moot for now

since the car has 91,000 miles and is due for a new one under either scenerio (we do not have any service records for this car). It would just

be nice to know which mechanic is correct....ie, the one we'll continue

to go to!!

Thanks a lot to anyone who can answer this!!
