Re: Motor Mount Failures 140-160 1975

I don't think you want old OEM mounts.

If NEW OEM mounts don't last well the

choice would be B30/164 motor mounts.

(You didn't say what car you have so I

am assuming it is one of the 140s.)

B30 motor mounts are a little sturdier.

Check to see if your mounts are getting oiled

by leaks from the engine. This contributes to

short life. Also it is bad to jack the car up by

the oil pan. The mounts are compression members

and won't stand that much tension.
