Re: AMM Compatability 200 85

The AMM for an 85 is common to 85-88 (LH2.2). The AMM from an 84 is applicable to 82-84 (LH1 and LH2). Also the 84 AMM will work for a 760T 84 model (LH2.1)

The ignition ecu will not interchange for two reasons: the distributor hall switch shutter wheel has different opening vs. closed percentages, this could be overcome by a distributor exchange but the second issue is not so easily dealt with. The ignition ecu from an 84 doesn't make the digital signal the the LH ecu needs. The earlier LH systems used a direct tach signal from coil and thus the ignition ecu didn't have a digtal trigger generation circuit in it.
