Lights in Instrment Cluster all Stay on (appart from oil pressure) 200 1983

Ok here is my problem,

When i was driving home from work in my 1983 240GLE, the car was going quite fine. Then when while i was driving, all of a sudden, the lights on the bottom of the insterment cluster all decided to come on. thoes lights being the BATTERY, HAND BREAKE, BREAKE FAIL and the BROKEN GLOBE light. Why is this so?
