Re: Changing the support bearing and rear transmission seal 200 85

Expect to pay about $40 for the three parts needed for the transmission output shaft bushing replacement (busing, seal & gasket).

You may want to also buy replacements for the driveshaft bolts & nuts, as these tend to get stretched from overzealous tightening during previous repairs.

While you have the transmission support bracket down, why not R&R the mount?

Check the little wire & connector hidden up on top of the output housing. That's the wire from the start inhibitor switch. Make sure it's not rotted. In the same area, assure yourself that the speedo cable it secure, and that the boot o top of the solenoid (top, driver's side of the trans) is OK.

If you are going to drop the fluid pan anyway, Consider installing a new kickdown cable at this time.

Finally, poke at the floor pan in several places to check for any rust through from inside.

Inspect & repair any damaged undercoating.
