Of the three Volvos we have owned, all have had ATFs. They were/are: '80 245; '86 240 GL, and the '92 965. The miles on them were/are respectively; apprx. 180K, 170K, 96K,

I have had no transmission troubles or repairs whatsoever. I have changed fluids at regualr intervals, 30K for the 240, 60K for the 965 w/ synthetic AFT.
