How to: completely rebuild 200 or 700??? 200 1990

I own two volvos. 90 245, 1989 740 both B230F engines. I would like to rebuild a complete unit. Hopefully finding an excellent body and basically rebuilding one including suspension and drive train.

Which of the volvo engines are considered best by the people that know?

Are there any instructions for doing a complete rebuild other than the Bently book on 240s?

What to look out for when buying the unit to rebuild?

If there is a better year than the others, what year is that?
