240 resurrection 200 1988

Hi everyone, as a new reader of the brickboard I am impressed with the wealth of knowledge and respectful commentary that is largely absent from "anonymous" postings. I am the owner of an '88 240DL (158000 nearly trouble free miles). To get to the point, I'm wondering if anyone has seen an article (I can't recall the publication)detailing a push to contact Ford to retool the 240 and remarket our beloved brick. Looking at the postings, it appears that there is definetly a powerful forum to pursue this. The newer models are attractive, but I prefer a solid body,engine, transmission over the onstar and GPS options of late. If anyone had info on this it may be something that we as a group could make difference in...
