Electrical Ground Location 700 1990

Anyone know where 1990 740 sedan (VIN 88) grounds the two tail light assemblies? I have a diagram (from alldata) which says it's in the trunk near the license plate but it isnt. I can trace the grounds from the two taillights and the license plate lights back into a bundle that disappears into the back left of the trunk. I presume it groungs somewhere in one of the pillars. If anyone knows would appreciate a heads up.
