I Can't get the $@$#%^%$^$ driveshaft off! 700 91

I am trying to replace my rear main seal and my clutch. I have gotten nowhere.

I have the six bolts off the driveshaft directly underneath the shifter. I can't pry the shaft past the guidepin inside of the tube. How do I do this? Do I have to disassemble the carrier bearing? Its not for a lack of strength; I've got the car jacked high and I had plenty of leverage on the shaft.

Do I have to take apart the rear axle????

One more question while I'm at it.

How should I get the pin out of the shifter assembly, the one that connects to the shifter, right below the boot?

Oh, and should I put a jack underneath the oil pan to sturdy the engine once I take off the tranny crossmember?

WHEW.

Thanks all.
