Almost two months ago I purchased a 1993 Volvo 244DL (auto) w/ 89k miles. Since then I've been experiencing a variety of problems and have had three different professional opinions. It all started about 2 weeks after getting the vehicle when I was leaving work for a lunch break and my car wouldn't start, and would keep stalling. After it finally started it had lost a lot of it's torque. Needless to say I was suprised. Brought it to a local Volvo specialist, said nothing was wrong when he looked at it. Brought it to the dealer, they said nothing was wrong when they looked at it. The dealer said it could have been bad gas and gave me some Techron and sent me on my way. Just two days after that the check engine light went on. I then brought it to a different Volvo specialist and he ran the codes and said that it pointed to the fuel injection. I got the car back hoping to get it to the dealer so that they could fix the problem. At the same time I was fiddling with a new Kenwood reciever I got for the car and obviously disconnected the battery. When I connected the battery again the check engine light disappeared. It ran well for the next day or so and then my car started acting up again as when I would reach 60 plus mph the car would then start to make weird thrusts. And that's where I'm at now. My Dad looked at the ground wires for the fuel injection and said that they looked a little corroded. I'm hoping that's all there is because that would probably explain everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love Volvos and I don't want my first one to be a lemon.
