Re: heater fan 140-160 '73

Assuming you are in the US, you have the same heater unit as the 240 cars.

Impossible? Hardly. Just take the whole dash out. I did this Saturday to replace the wioper linkage on my '73 142. About a jillion phillips head screws (get a #3 driver). Remove the center console face, and then remove EVERY #3 phillips screw you see.

Pull off the covers off all the round vents. Remove the gauge cluster.

Get the manual. Difficult? No. Time consuming? Sure is. In fact, I contemplated changing the blower motor just because I was in there.

I'd say about 4 hours for the job. That's what it took me to R&R the wiper linkage.
