Brickboarders!..I need your input!

I have a problem with my left rear brake light. When I depress the pedal it works..unless the headlights are on! I replaced the bulb and the lens is cracked and there was water inside. I dried it out but still have the same problem. This is only the left rearlight. ...Do I need to replace the entire assembly? Any suggestions?
