Re: More on AMM's vs airbox thermostats. 200 all

I took out the assembly of paddles inside my air box and neatly duct taped it shut. I have a question though. The hot air metal hose was quite corroded and broken so I removed that, and now there is just a opening up at the exhaust manifold I guess it is. If I took it in to get a emissions test, would I fail? I should block that off but I'm not sure what would be the best way. I would rather not buy another $20 hose that would just be blocked off at the air box anyway.

I would duct tape it off there too but I'm sure that gets pretty hot.
