Re: Ignition Coil failure? 1800 1971

Maybe I'm too pro-active for my billfold's sake, but, if there is a doubt, I would replace the coil immediately, and replace it with a hotter one, like the Bosch blue coil. The cheaper ones can act up when they get hot. There's a reason they are cheap!

The auto electrics are odd...you can spent a $1000 on them and notice little improvment, but if the cheapest part goes bad, you're down.

BTW, Roy - do you have to use a ballast resistor on your Bosch? I thought they recommended it, but I get different stories.
