Re: Dome Light Switch broken - how to replace? 200 1980

Janet -

While you did not say specifically, both Don and I assumed that your car is a 245 wagon, right? Don's post is a good one, add it to your library of printed-out posts (use the [PRINT] choice at page top). I have a gong of printed posts, and they are almost as helpful as the Volvo green Service manuals.

If your car is a sedan, the process is a little different. However, the sedan dome lights are prone to breaking very easily and they are not repairable. The light from a wagon does a much better job of illumination ans I have concocted a methond of installing one into a sedan, and have done so in many cars. Let me know if that is of interest.

Good Luck,

Bob
